Love is Simple...with Husband, Kasey Lin
Christine Ng Wing Mei speaks of her husband, "I tell Kasey that laughter can be as simple as life. He told me that he feels very blessed, as there is a woman in this world who will try her best efforts to make him laugh."
Christine admits that she is the most untraditional wife. She will never cook dinner. "I'm okay with washing dishes, but I hate cooking. If you ask me to cook, I'll rather get a divorce. When we eat, we will order take-out meals. Kasey and I have become "Mr. & Mrs. MSG" for many years since our marriage. Haha!"
Despite being married for several years, Christine still does not have a child. Past physical check-ups have shown that she has no problems having children.
"Kasey and I never practiced contraception. But I never got pregnant, perhaps we are too nervous. But I do admit that I am lazy; you can tell by just looking at me!" The truth is that Christine focuses too much on her acting career, therefore she has not thought much about having children. In fact, she was so nervous during the filming of "Criminal Investigation Bureau" that she was constipated for several days.

There are many misunderstandings that people have towards Christine. For example, she has a loud voice, leading people to think she is rude-mannered. The truth is that her right ear has a slight loss of hearing. In the last few years, Christine has started to rely on reading people's lips when she talks to them.
Many people think that Christine loves her husband, Kasey the most. But her mother has the #1 place in her heart. "If I can exchange my marriage for my mother having a longer life, I would gladly do so." "My Biggest Regret"
Christine's mother was diagnosed with cancer in June 2002. At first the doctors thought Christine's mother had ovarian cancer, but during surgery, it was discovered she had a tumor in her abdomen instead. In September of that year, Christine's mother died. Christine spent time with her mother until her last moments, telling her mother about her goals to make sure she would die in peace.
"I even asked my mother whether she would like to be buried or cremated. I know certain Chinese [surviving generations] place great emphasis on how the corpse is handled after death [because it affects fengshui]. But I think it is all bullsh*t; it is best to ask her how she wants her body to be handled after death."
"I am not afraid of death, as some of my closest family members have died. But reflecting upon death afterwards is most frightening."
Christine's father died when she was 18 years old. Both her brothers were older than her by a few years and started working early, leaving Christine and her mother forming the closest bond. "My life is going so well now, but my mother is no longer with me. That is my biggest regret."
Out of habit, Christine will still frequently dial her mother's phone number. "My mother's phone number has been disconnected. But I still like to dial it. I fantasize that she is still alive, that I can still chat with her on the phone. You can call me crazy, but I did not hurt anyone. Sometimes I dream of the supernatural...."
After Christine's mother died, she went to consult a metaphysicist with Julian Cheung Chilam and Anita Yuen Wing Yee. At first it was just a meeting out of curiousity, but when the metaphysicist spoke of Christine's mother, she started crying non-stop.
"Kasey told me afterwards, 'We've been together for so many years, I never realized how much you truly loved your mother.'" Christine's eyes grew red, but due to experiencing many turbulences in her life, she quickly stabilized her emotions.
"You can not tell whether a person is good or bad by just looking at the surface. Although I am an actress by trade, I am not without true feelings. In real life, I never 'act'."
The Cold Facts
Christine is very outspoken and straightforward. While changing clothes, she asked the photographer, "Will the front of the dress show up in the final pictures? If not, then I will not wear my bra."
Changing into numerous outfits, there were demure and sexy outfits. But which one personifies Christine the best? "Most people who know me will say that I am very open. Actually I love wearing pants the most. In my home closet, I own mostly pants. I only wear dresses in front of the camera."
Christine loves to laugh and her smile has not changed much since her childhood.
